EIGASHIMA TOJI'S CRAFT WHISKY
The master blender, TOJI, carefully selected and blended grain and malt whiskies aged in premium bourbon and sherry basks.
Eigashima Craft Japanese Whisky TOJI’s Select thus combines the unique traditional craftsmanship passed down through generations and the contemporary TOJI’s original blends.
AKASHI RED BLENDED WHISKY
The Eigashima distillery was founded by Eigashima Shuzo in 1888 to produce sake. By 1919, they obtained a licence to produce whisky, and soon after, started whisky production.
It survived the whisky boom of the 70s and 80s unscratched – a clear testimony to the quality of its whisky. The White Oak Akashi Red Blended Whisky is the standard bottle from its White Oak distillery, and is perfect for those who’d like to try out Japanese Ji-whisky.
AKASHI WHITE OAK
The White Oak distillery is perhaps the least known of Japan’s whisky producers.
The White Oak distillery was born in 1984, when the company moved to their current facilities, and is located in the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, west of Kobe, facing the Seto Inland Sea. The White Oak Akashi is the standard bottle from White Oak, perfect for those who want to try out Ji-whisky.
AKASHI SINGLE MALT
Single malt Japanese whisky from the Akashi range, produced by White Oak in Hyogo, just west of Kobe.
This non-age-statement release ought to prove rather interesting for whisky adventurers looking to try something new.
EIGASHIMA TOJI'S CRAFT WHISKY
The taste is delicate with a light oily texture and aromas of honey and fruit that evoke the gentle breeze of the Seto Inland Sea.

AKASHI WHITE OAK BLENDED
Nose: Buttered hot cross buns, chocolate peanuts, lemongrass and a light hint of spicy rye grain.
Palate: Cherry bakewells and walnut loaf. Sweet cereals with a dusting of nutmeg and black pepper.
Finish: Medium length. Quite sweet with dried apricot and a touch of oatcake.
AKASHI RED BLENDED
Nose: Dark chocolate, caramelised pineapple, strawberry and orange peel.
Palate: Almond, boozy wine richness, a touch of vegetal vanilla.
Finish: Jammy berries and yet more chocolate.
AKASHI SINGLE MALT WHISKY
On the palate the blend turns out to be a creamy and smooth dram that shows the flavours of vanilla, some slightly spicy oak and fantastic nuances of malt.
The finish is lasting quite long and brings back the flowery notes that were to be found on the nose before. Additionally, a smooth sweetness is making the finish complete.
